Interests

My friends and coworkers would all describe me as someone who “tinkers.” I am a focused, project-oriented person. I’m constantly thinking about solutions to everyday problems around me. Because Design is in everything we interact with, I'm always asking myself questions like, “How could I make this easier to use?” or “What is it about this, that makes this experience so difficult?”

I feel that this way of thinking has made me, in every aspect, a better designer and has broadened my skillset. While I enjoy designing the occasional company t-shirt in Illustrator every now and then, I also enjoy popping open PHP-Storm and diving into bootstrap and exploring new CSS tricks. In my free time, I sometimes like opening up the latest VideoCopilot tutorial for After Effects or Premiere.

Side Note: Rubiks cubes, wet shaving, classic car restoration, raspberry pi projects, and gaming are just a few of the things that add to my quirky character.

The Swiss Get It.

I had the amazing opportunity to finish my BFA with a Design study in Switzerland. The one thing that stuck out to me the most in Switzerland was that Design is an important element in how we function in our day to day lives. It's absolutely essential in how we travel, work, and play.
